- A. Consignment
1. Shipper offers:
(1) Container type
(2) Numbers of Containers
(3) Destination
(4) Date of shipment
(5) Description of Cargo (especially American Line)
2. After customers receive sea freight price, if they want to entrust Freight forwarding company with loading cargo, packing measures are required to be offered.
(1) Packing in the factory (factory is offered by shipper)
(2) Packing in the warehouse (warehouse is offered by Freight forwarding company)
3. Freight forwarding company will ask shipper for customs clearance information.
B. Booking cargo space
Freight forwarding company will inform shipping company about cargo information, fix price and booking cargo space. After Shipping Company receives space booking, they will inform about Ocean Vessel Name, date of shipment and Bill of Landing Number.
C. Stuffing cargo into Containers
1. Stuffing cargo in the warehouse
Freight forwarding company offers Ocean Vessel Name and Bill of Landing Number to the warehouse. Then they will release container in Shipping Company’s container yard with the letter of recommendation to wait for stuffing cargo after shipper’s delivery.
2. Stuffing cargo in the factory
After Freight forwarding company releases the container, they will stuff cargo according to the factory provided by shipper.
D. Customs declaration and Loading
Customs clearance after container gate-in; Shipping Company will load the containers to the vessel.
E. Unloading
Shipping Company will unload the containers to the terminal.
F. Announcement and take delivery
Shipping Company will announce delivery person to take delivery.
G. Customs clearance
Delivery person will be in charge of Customs clearance.
H. Documents Exchange
Delivery person will change the Bill of Landing to delivery order.
I. Take delivery
Delivery person will take delivery according to Delivery order.
